About Bahá’í Chat

An AI-powered research assistant developed by Sarah Haslip to help explore, summarize, and cite the Bahá'í writings and associated historical texts.

Our Mission

The volume of literature available in the Bahá’í Faith is immense. Our goal is to make this vast ocean of knowledge more accessible by providing a conversational interface that can find relevant passages, summarize concepts, and direct you to original sources.

How It Works

This system uses a technique called Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). When you ask a question, we first search a library of documents related to the Bahá’í Faith to find relevant paragraphs. We then pass these specific excerpts to a language model which synthesizes an answer based specifically on the source documents provided.

Content Sources

Our document library is currently populated by articles from Bahaipedia.org and periodicals, books, and other media found on Bahai.works. Planned future additions include the content of the official Bahá’í Reference Library, the compiled excerpts found at Bahai9.com, and the semantically structured data available on Bahaidata.org.

Important Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, AI models can occasionally make mistakes or misinterpret context. Always verify information using the direct source links provided with every answer. This tool is for educational assistance and is not an authoritative source of guidance.
